The joys and sorrows of a stay-at-home mom, wife, home economist and woman.

Happy 2 Year Blogiversary

I started my blogging journey two years ago today. I had no idea what a blessing it would be for me- an opportunity for a tired, but blessed Mommy to have an outlet and a place to share my beautiful family and what is going on in my life.

I have no idea who reads my blog, beyond grandparents and aunties, but that isn’t what it is about for me. It’s about having a voice, and thinking about something beyond surviving the day. It’s about capturing this time in my life, which goes by so quickly. It’s about having the freedom to not just be a mommy, but to be a writer, a dreamer, and a woman. It’s about sharing bits of myself, offering a little of my heart for whoever cares to read it. It’s about having and giving hope.

I love being able to think about what I would like to write for my blog in the wee small hours when I am nursing, and even though less than a quarter of those ideas ever get published because life with two little ones is crazy busy, it is freeing for me to know that when I do have a little more time and freedom that my blog is here for me. And until then, it is content to wait for those small moments that I am able to snatch for myself to write and create. I always have plans and dreams, and hopefully soon I will have the time to put some of them into action.

I have a lot of areas in my life that I am passionate about. My beautiful children, my loving and supportive husband (who does all of the behind the scenes technical stuff for me), my faith, gardening, sewing, creating. I hope that I will be able to share more. I love to invent new recipes in the kitchen, and I have at least a dozen that I want to post here, when I have time. I have a number of sewing, crochet, or other craft projects that I would love to share here when I have time. I want to share more about our journey with food allergies in our growing family, to help others who may be going through something similar and give them hope, when I have time.

But for now, I am content to do as much as I am able. Happy Blogiversary, Honey’s Musings!
